Legislation
The MNANP Legislative Committee is actively meeting on a regular basis to revise and modernize our bill language to accurately reflect a naturopathic doctors education and training, discuss next steps in the legislative process, gather input through member surveys, and engage key stakeholders. Our goal is to strengthen the scope and visibility of naturopathic medicine in Minnesota through thoughtful, strategic advocacy.

The Minnesota Association of Naturopathic Physicians (MNANP) promotes access to and registration of clinically trained providers of naturopathic medicine. Currently, 23 states, the District of Columbia, and the US territories of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands have regulating laws for Naturopathic Doctors. In these states, Naturopathic Doctors are required to graduate from a four-year, residential naturopathic medical school and pass an extensive postdoctoral board examination (NPLEX) in order to receive a license or registration status.
